A lot of things surprised me because of how cruel or pointless it was to do that. For example with the children story why aren't boarders wives allowed to go freely and they had to lie that it was his sister that just doesn't make sense. I was also saddened by how they were being treated when they arrived to New York,I get it they don't want any illness in America but they could have been treated better and more welcomed.I was also surprised there where that many people immigrating from both island showing how bad things were in the past.It is also very sad how a family can get divided because they all didn't pass the test and could just hope to see each other in the future. This shows how civilized People and America has become is less scary to come to the United States. I want to know more about how the people working at the islands felt about the whole procedure. I also want to find more information if the island was initially built for immigration purposes. I found this video which gives a brief history about both islands Geography is the Earth's physical features including locations of places and regions, and political boundaries.First I am going to talk about geography of Ghana. Ghana has 10 regions as United states has 50 states but the regions don't have a mayor they all go with what the president says.Ghana has a lot of historical locations and most have to do with Europeans when Ghana was known as the Gold Coast because it's great supply of natural minerals. Kakum Park is one of Ghana's most popular recreational places and is very scary and so nature surrounded and is visited by a lot of tourists. So now back to my family. My mom side comes from Mampong in one of Ghana's Region but has being moved all around the world and country. Most of my family members are still in Ghana but my mom and a few other are here.So my mom first moved from Ghana to Canada to be with my grandmother but later on moved to United states. She has lived in a couple of states like Georgia where I was born but moved away to Illinois really fast. She first lived in chicago and moved to the suburbs.Living in thee suburbs is better for me because there is less drama and chaos. My location basically makes who I am. Other family members are in Netherlands,Italy,Great Britain and many more.It is very cool to me how same blood have different cultures because of your location.

So going along with the Civics Lens I participate in a lot of organization. I love singing so that made me be motivated to join the choir both at church and school. Which seems like a lot of work it is but it a fun activity because It is something I am into so I have fun.I sing everyday but go to practice 3 days a week. I also like to be helpful and caring to people in need so I donate but another way I help is by Volunteering at church and other places. I am a member of NJHS and is a fun way to interact with people and help at the same time. I help little kids at my church by leading them in songs and trips and celebrations at church it is a very awesome thing to me because I want to become a pediatrician in the future so a great step to start.I also do Newspaper and Yearbook clubs in school because I like providing information and taking pictures so those are great way to do something I like but to be productive.
