After learning about Angel Island and Ellis Island I learned that Angel Island is found in San Francisco, I didn't know that there was two places that worked as a immigration station. Something that i wanted to know was How long did Ellis Island serve immigration station? I found the answer, it served for 60 years, it closed 1954. My mom was born in Mexico. My dad was born in Texas because they traveled a lot, they went from Mexico to California to Texas.
Both of my Grandmas and Grandpas were all born in Mexico. I was born in Illinois, USA. Which makes me Mexican and American. I love to travel, I have traveled to Florida, Mexico, California, and Texas etc. Being Mexican has impacted my life because I have spoken Spanish since I was little which makes me bilingual. I have also learned a lot about Mexican tradition. Traveling has also impacted my life because it made me like traveling and I like learning about other traditions and customs, I like traveling to places with warmer weather. A Because of my high school that I was going to, I was going to Joliet High School, he wanted me to go to a better high school. Another reason why was because he grew up in Woodridge. Q 4.Where did you meet mom? my dad met my mom in Chicago when she was visiting family. Q 5.Was I named after someone? I was named after Katherine Zeta Jones Q 6.What was your first job? My dad's first job was at a restaurant called Old Country Cafe, it closed down. Q 7.What hospital was I born in? Good Sam hospital, Downers Grove Q 8.where do i get my love for soccer? Mainly from my dad,but alot of my great-uncles and uncles play and love soccer. The definition of Civics is active participation within societies, schools and organizations. I play soccer, I've played soccer since i was 8 or 9, at first I didn't want to but after a couple of months, eventually I made friends and started liking soccer. This made me who i am today athletic and friend making kind of person. I'm planning on trying out for my 8th grade school soccer team. My family is catholic so we try and go to church every Sunday. I'm making my confirmation soon so I have to go to Religious Education to study and learn about God. I go to RE class once a week on Tuesdays.
