What is the difference between an aid, a treaty, and an alliance?
An Aid is when countries decide to help each other out by giving one another supplies such as food, water, medicine, or guns.
A Treaty is a signed paper between two countries that makes sure that the two countries do not fight each other.
An Alliance is the strongest form of bonding between countries. An alliance between two countries makes them do things together as if they were very close friends with each other.
Part 2:
The US isn't a part of this diagram because it is showing the alliances between the countries that were originally in WW1. The US does become part of this diagram, they become part of it in April 1917 because they wanted to help their allies, Great Britain, France, and Russia.
