Choice 2: Did the people who got seperated from there families see each other again.? What would the do if they wanted to go back to their home country.? Did they get payed the same when they stared to work here.?
Key Words: Econmics- Money,High Class,Middle Class, Lower Class, Dollars
Econonmics is a big part of everyone's life. We all need money to survive. My single mother struggled a little ,with one inconme she had to support three people. Without a better education she had to work three jobs at one point. She now has a better job thanks to her hard work and perseverance. Also, she has made the right choice, and is going to go back to school so that she can provide us a better future. In conclusion economics can affect the way you live your life . If you come from a lower class household, It can make you want to work harder to get where you want be in life, or if you come from a higher class it is possible that you were handed everything , and if that is the case it can make you lazy and not want to work for anything. 1) How did our family come to America?
It all started with my great-grandparents from my 'papi's' side ( my papi is my mom's dad) . His mom and dad came to America years ago. Although my grandfather a.k.a papi, was here at a young age, he was not born here. Papi did asimilate the culture because he has been here so long. Papi met my mami ( grandma) in Mexico . They married , had kids and my mom was born in America. I was born in Mexico but I am a citizen abroad meaning that since my mom is american , she could have had been born anywhere in the world and I would still be an American citizen. 2) What languages do we speak? Most of my family is bilingual, speaking both english and spanish. I say most because my sister and I don't speak spanish very well. We are learning though. I think I have made some progress thanks to my friends from Jefferson. My mom likes to think she can speak french because she took a year of french in Highschool, but she can't. My grandmother speaks to us in spanish hoping that we will learn but then we get home and my mom only speaks english to us , so that doesn't help. Well, she speaks spanish when she gets mad but she speaks too fast for us to catch on. 3) What was your first job? My first job was Fuddruckers World's Greatest Burgers in Downers Grove. We use to call it Fuddnosos because most of the Reynoso kids worked there. I liked working there, I met people from all over the world believe it or not. It was a great learning experience . People skills are very important in life. I mean if you can listent to someone yell at you about the price of the food or the fact that it was made wrong even though you had nothing to do with the way it was cooked, and do it with a smile on your face, then you are going to be ok in life. I am lucky enough to work as an office manager for a Doctor's office. Now pregnant women yell at me ;-P 4) Was there any racism when you were growing up? Of course! Racism is still gowing strong ,unfortunatley. I don't think I was a target of it though, well not too much. I did have a boy in grade school call me a "stupid mexican" but I wasn't too bothered by it because I didn't feel like I was a "stupid Mexican". I think his " stupid boy cudies overpowered my Mexican-ism. I do believe that I can attribute the fact that I wasn't bothered by that to my parents, because they didn't raise me to think that every time someone was mean or didn't like me was because I was Mexican. If people didn't like me it was because I was a jerk ;). Granted there are people that are victims of hate crimes so you cannot compare one stupid boy calling me a name to what others have been through, but if it comes to words my advice to you is, let them have their hurtful opinions because it is likely that they themselves have been hurt in other ways. You cannot fight an ignorant person with ignorant words because you end up just as ignorant. 5) Am I part of any differnt cultures? I am part of differnt cultures. I am Mexican American. I can enjoy the best of both worlds. During the Mexican festivities I can enjoy some warm yummy tamales, pozole, tostadas, tacos ect... and even though the U.S. doesn't have an official cuisine, on the american holidays I can enjoy burgers, hot dogs, turkey , mashed potatoes ect.. I can proudly say I celebrate the independence of both these great nations. San Juan Delos Lagos Well my culture is a big impact in my life since I can remember. My culture celebrate the day of the dead also we celebrate Christmas on Christmas eve and open the present at 12:00 am. I am from San Juan De los Lagos and the DF in mexico and It is very beautiful, the landscape is so amazing it hard to describe how wonderful it is over them. The people in San Juan are very kind and sweet and loving people. This impacted my life because they taught me that being nice to other and give them a chance you'll meet someone amazing people in your lives like i meet my 4 good friends.
