So the definition of Geography is "earth's physical features and human features including locations of places and regions, and political boundaries."
Geography impacts my life in different ways but the main reason is travel. I love to travel I have only been to places in the United States and some islands. I have been to Wisconsin A LOT. My family has a house in Wisconsin by a lake and me and my family have a lot of great memories their and I am very thankful to have a house in Wisconsin. Another place I go to at least every year is Missouri. My grandparents live in Missouri and I really enjoy going to Missouri to spend time with them because family is very important to me. Those two places are the places I go to the most. But I used to go to Florida when I was younger every other year and it was like a dreamland since I was like six. When we went to Florida though me and my family would also spend time with a family friend that lives in Florida. The only other states I have been to other than Florida, Missouri, and Wisconsin are Utah, Indiana, and Kansas. Indiana we went to for friends and Utah and Kansas we visit due to our extended family living in those states. The last two places I have been to are The Virgin Islands and The Bahamas which me, my family, and my friend Annamarie and her family went to on a cruise in 2013. It really bonded our friendship and our families. In the end traveling has made a big impact on my life because it is now something that I absolutely love and look forward to doing, it has taught me things that I may not have learned in my life at home, and lastly it has given me unique opportunities.
Some other geography that impacts me is where my family comes from. On my mom's side of the family they came from Germany to Pennsylvania, to Maryland, and finally Kansas. My grandpa's side of the family has been in Kansas for at least 3 generations and continue to be there. My grandpa ended up in Illinois due to his job at AT&T. For my nana's side of the family we don't know much but we know that she was born and then spent a good amount of time in Indiana until she moved to Colorado when she was 8 and stayed there until she meet my grandpa. When my grandparents got married they moved around for my grandpa's job at AT&T putting up telephone poles. They moved to New Mexico which is where my Aunt was born. Then they moved to Arizona which is where my Mom and her twin brother or my uncle were born. Then they moved to Nevada, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, and in the end they ended up in Illinois. The house that they moved into when they came to Illinois is actually the house I live in now. My parents bought it from my grandparents when they got married.
On my dad's side of the family we only know where my grandma came from and the only thing we know about my grandpa in this case is that he was always in Illinois. For my grandma's side of the family they were from Russia to Alaska, Washington, Nevada, Florida, and then Illinois. My grandma was born and raised in Alaska on the Aluetian Islands the tribe she was in was called the 13th region and the village she lived in was Nikolski Village. Before she was alive though her ancestor's were from Russia and took The Bering Strait Crossing to get to Alaska. When my grandma grew up they lived in harsh conditions and there were army men from World War 2 in Alaska, and when World War 2 ended she meet a man who was in World War 2 and they went to Washington together for a little bit. After Washington she ended up going to Nevada for some reason and then after that she join a dance company and traveled to Florida with them. After that she then ended up in Illinois and has been there ever since.
