Geography is the land, landmarks, and places. The geography in somebody's is how their environment may have impacted their life.
I reside in Illinois and have lived in these suburbs my entire life, moving only once when I was the age of 6. When I was younger I had spent a lot of time in the backyard which had reminded of my Wisconsin home (below). There I had explored my interests do to the surrounding I was provided with.
In my family, something that had impacted me was the opportunity to travel to Wisconsin to stay at a family lake-side residence. Many years ago my grandfather and grandmother were on their anniversary, and they had stayed at a resort which was on the same property of where the building is now. After many returns to the resort, the resort went up for sale. Taking the opportunity, they bought the land. They torn down the original house and build a new one do to size issues. To toady I have gathered many good memories of taking time to go there and I'm sure many are more to come.
Other than Illinois and Wisconsin, I have been to a couple different places around the US. Even though I haven't been out the US, I have been to Boulder and Estes Park in Colorado, The Smokey Mountains in Tennessee (not clear local town), all over Florida (my father has a lot of his close family in Florida) Iowa to check out the Hawkeye campus, and some more.
From being exposed to so many different places I have been able to gain many different interests, experiences, and memories (to name a few). They have changed the way I may look at things, what I do in my time, and basically how to live my life. How geography has this tole is that it controls what you surround yourself with, everything you interpret.
