Me and my Grandpa like to adventure off into the woods, hike and a things that are dangerous. My grandpa was in the Vietnam war but came back when he heard I was born. My Grandpa liked to teach me what he learned in the Vietnam and in boot camp. He taught me how to light fires use a lighter and started teaching me how to drive. When I was about 9 he got me my own four-wheeler to drive since he lived in Wisconsin about 30mins from an actual town. Since he owned a few acres of land we would ride our four-wheeler's up and down the road and on his land. When we were on the road we would race back to the house on them to see whose was faster. He is also the one that got me into nature because he knew what you can eat how to hunt and loved to adventure. We would adventure off into the woods behind his house on his four-wheeler to see what we could see(his four-wheeler had some type of drive that would allow you to go over trees). About 3 days before I was going out there again to see him he died from a heart attack. We think it was because he had a major drinking problem when he got divorced and since he couldn't sleep since he had knee pains (elevator shaft fell on his leg) he would take sleeping pills. But since there was alcohol in his system it had him have all the side effects of the pills. The last week of his life he started having hallucinations of the war he was in and thought people were always after him. The day he died he called the ambulance saying he couldn't breathe but since he lives a distance he couldn't wait so he got in his car to go to the hospital but only reached the end of his drive way the died with his head on the steering wheel. |
