Economics made me a hard worker and it made me less shy around people. I grew up in an apartment all of my life because my mom is poor. Every time I wanted something my mom said no because she couldn't afford it. She told me that I would have to make my own money to get things. So I made a deal with my grandpa in the third grade that if I got A's on my report card he would give me five dollars for every A. And if I got straight A's then he would give me five dollars for every A and a ten dollar bonus. I worked so hard in school to get those A's and I got them, an I still work hard. That's how economics helped shape part of who I am. Economics also made me a little less shy. I play three instruments plus one for fun, and i practice everyday to get better so i can apply for a collage scholarship because my mom can not afford to put me through collage. I do a lot of recitals and help out with band and hope to make it in to the high school IMEA band because it would look good on a collage application. I can't afford to be shy if I want to make a decent amount of money when I grow up.
