We watched and read about Ellis island in New York which allowed anyone from Europe and Angel island in San Francisco which allowed people from Japan and China to come into america. I'm going to tell about some things that surprised me. One thing i was surprised to learn about is how differently they were treated in almost the same conditions People in Ellis island were treated alright when they came they were asked questions about were they came from and what there parents did and after that they were tested for sicknesses and other things and then if they passed they were allowed into America . And in angel island the building were wearing down and they were once again asked questions but kept for a long time in horrible cells basically and were kept there for weeks after that they tested for sicknesses and even if you passed you had a very slight chance of getting though into america in some years they only let up to 1,000 people enter america from angel island because we were fighting the Japanese and people coming to angel island were Japanese.
