What cultural values do you have? Have you been taught these or have you discovered them on your own?
A: My mother's been told the values of family, and to keep in touch with cousins, and other relatives.
Where did my family originate from? Did we speak other languages? A: France, Germany, Irish. My great-grand father came straight from Paris and spoke fluent French.
What traditions originated from our ancestors? How have they changed over time?
A: We have a lot of religious traditions that haven't really changed i.e. Christmas, Easter, etc.
How did economics/civics/history/geography affect our family, and do you think these lenses have shaped who we are?
A: We came from blue collar families and struggled during the Depression. It shaped who we are because we value hard work.
What do you think has shaped your identity, and why?
A: My mom always worked and helped contribute to the family income.
How does the person you were before effect who you are today? - A: Has become more frugal and spends money more wisely.
What made you settle down and decide to have kids?
A: I've always wanted kids because of the strong values we hold in the family unit.
