History in our lives is about significant events in any part of our lives and individual changes or improvements. I was born March 15, 2001 in Chicago, IL. I lived in a small apartment with my mom and dad until I was 4 years old. We moved to Berwyn and lived in a quiet neighborhood in our first house. My mom worked as a hairdresser and my dad took the train to Chicago everyday and worked as an IT specialist. When I was 7, my little sister Taylor was born. I was really excited to have a little sister but was very disappointed to realize that she stole my spotlight. Everything slowly became more about her and I went into the shadow. At this point I started learning to be on my own. I spent more time in my room and was a lot more independent, since my parents were focused on raising my sister. Still today I am a lot more independent and practically live in my room. A few years after Taylor was born, we adopted my second cat Tanner. I fell in love with him the moment my mom brought him home and still love him today. Later in my life I was really sad to be informed that my grandpa was in the hospital. I remember driving to his house only to find out that he had already passed. Even though my sister was closer to my grandpa than I was (again, bringing up the whole "stealing the spotlight" thing) I still miss him very much. This taught me that not everything in life is happy and cheery. I became more strong emotionally and felt what it was like to lose something very close to your heart. After I turned 9 we moved to Woodridge and began living in a big apartment which is where I still live today. I started a new life, forgot many of my old friends and neighbors, and met many friends who are still my best friends today. My social skills improved as well as my ability to be a leader, which is a big part of my life today.

I love all the detail you put in this, amazing job. Although I would say to add more of how it has shaped you in your history life and how it impacted you. Do you plan on adopting more pets?
