What does Economics mean?
How people choose to use resources and the ways in which governments, businesses, societies, and individuals distribute and consume human capital, physical capital, and natural resources.
Economics plays a big role in my life. I learned how to deal with money for a long time. We use money a lot at my church so that has really helps me get a better understanding about money. My parents are both engineers so they get lots and lots of money, they are both good at math and they are both good with computers. In college, my mom got a degree in chemical engineering and my dad got a degree in mechanical engineering. When they got married they both got jobs at a company called Dupont. Then my mother was transferred to Tennessee. Then after two years they both were transferred to Mississippi and worked their for two years but after Hurricane Katrina my family had to move to Kentucky then my parents got different jobs. My dad still worked at Dupont and my mom worked at another company called Wellpoint. Then my mom got a new job at Lubrizol for 6 years. Then my family had to move to Illinois and my mom got transferred and my dad got a new job at Brindley Engine. My parents are in the middle class and are very successful. They have been able to save and buy five houses and take care of a family of four. Also at my church their is a little competition we do that goes towards maintaining our churches over the country. My parents always compete, like in Buffalo, New York every year my mom sells fruit cups to try to get more money than my dad.
Now you are probably wondering why do economics impact my life, well my parents have been very good ro-models for me so I know how to save my money and sell items to beat my brother at the competition at my church. From my parents I have learned how to prepare for a new job when I get older.
