In class, we have been given a MAIN cause of World War I which include Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism. I got the cause, Nationalism. The picture below illustrates my cause because Nationalism is the belief that a a particular cultural or ethnic group constitutes a distinct people deserving of political self-determination. This means that they are devoted to their own country and the picture shows that because it is the British flag shaped into a heart. This picture shows devotion and love for Great Britain because a heart symbolizes love and unity. So the picture means that the people from Great Britain love their country and they are united. That's what Nationalism means in this picture.
