The definition of civics is, an active participation within societies, schools, neighborhoods, classrooms, groups, and/or organizations. Some of the key words to civics are, society, choices, actions, and voting etc. When I was in 6th grade I went into a gymnastics club, it really helped me build up my flexibility and tumbling skills. After the season was over I dropped out simply because my teacher was not the best teacher, but it shaped who I am now because I love cheer. After that rough season with my group, I learned that cheer was my passion, and that I will forever enjoy doing it. It turned out, after I dropped out I stopped practicing and I lost my flexibility, but today I keep practicing and hope to make it into the cheer team in high school. On October of 2014, I decided to join modeling class to improve my shyness. This isn't only a class to help us girls but help the St. Dominic Church, while doing small events we raise money for the church. My biggest impact was on November 15, 2014, that day I had a pageant and there was so much preparation needed; then came all these butterflies to talk in front of a large crowd. That day the judges decided that this time they will crown the four girls who raised the most money and brought sponsors in. I didn't bring enough in so I didn't get a title, but it shapes who I am today willing to go do it again. I learned that just because your performance was the best of all, that won't mean you will win; I am willing to do it again, to stop being shy and hopefully bring a crown home. I also learned that all that matter is that your whole family is there to support you, without them I would have not made it through talking in front of others.
