The difference between, aid, a treaty, and an alliance, is that they were used differently in world war one. Some were more important so they were used more than the others, if you look at the diagram there is more green, than peach and yellow. But they also have different meaning, an alliance means: that if someone does something to a person or to your country, you will go after them because that person or country means a lot to you. While aid means to help or support another country, and treaty means to have an agreement with other countries/country. According to the diagram green represents alliance, so that means that in world war one supporting one another was really major; while having agreements with other countries was really rare. The U.S isn't part of the diagram because they weren't part of the war yet, with that said the U.S eventually does become part of the diagram. They get involved in war in 1917 when president Wilson and congress declare war to Germany, they start declaring more war with other countries later on.
