I was born on march 14, 2001, at Christ Hospital. When my parents both saw me I was beat red an screaming at the top of my little lungs. The doctor later discovered that I had a hole in my heart and it wasn't guaranteed that I would live. A miracle occurred; the hole healed. I wouldn't be here to type this if it didn't. I was an extremely hard baby to take care of because while I was healing I would just scream and cry and fuss. Which I probably scared my parents that I would be a terrible kid. I was almost named Anna and if I was a boy I would be named Beckett. Which are both terrible names for me in my book; and I'm glad I was named Lucy. Growing up my parents would play the Beatles nonstop. Of course they ALWAYS played Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, and it is still one of my favorite songs. When I watch home videos you can always see me dancing with my dad, and playing in the background is- you guessed it- the Beatles. This most likely has an effect on why I listen to such unique music. But let's start before I was born and how my parents met. My dad (Sean Quinn) was always a actor when it came to drama but generally he was a reserved person. He didn't really like to talk to people that he didn't know. He was always involved in drama, the school plays and speech team. My mom (Maryanna Paller) and dad both went to Shepard High School in Crest-wood, about 15-20 minutes out of the city. They didn't meet until they were in a play together junior year. They explain it as love at first sight. Senior year my mom graduated early because of moving issues, but they continued to date. My dad later went to college while my mom went to community college and tried to continue her acting career. After my parents were out of college they moved in together and had me! When I was about 6 or 7 my grandpa on my dads side got diagnosed with cancer and died within the year. It was a very tragic event and it crushed my whole family, although I don't really remember him I watch home videos and learn great things about him. My uncle also got in a BAD car crash in 2003 it was terrible and put a lot of weight on my aunt. No one was sure that he would live. He was in a coma and had severe brain damage, his nose was so severley broken they had to completely reconstruct it. His legs were destroyed so he had to get metal bolts inside his legs to support them. He had surgery after surgery and was in the hospital for months. His two kids needed to be re-introduced to him due to memory loss. We all had him in our prayers, and miracle after miracle he survived and his doing great! He is still pretty disfigured and is blind in one eye but he can drive and do everything that a normal person do. I'm greatful for having a family that is so close to me. Even though we've had our hard times: we've never been closer.
